Almost for VIRTU in France today

Despite good and concealed aggressive riding from Team VIRTU Cycling’s delegation during the second stage of the high profiled French stage race, Circuit des Ardennes International, the pockets were empty after the 175 kilometers.

Sports director Michael Skelde reports:

“We took a great part of the race with five riders on the front but the field initiated a chase with timely precision so the stage was concluded with a bunch sprint where we weren´t able to put ourselves completely at the top. It’s a very tough race, so I’m pleased to see how we mix among the best during the race. Now we’re just missing a result, but it will come if we keep trying, “says the Danish sports director.

The stage was won by Roy Jans from the Cibel-Cebon team who also leads the race overall. The best VIRTU Cycling rider in the GC is Asbjørn Kragh Andersen who is in the 11th place.
