DS Carmen Small: “We hope to come out with some strong results”
On June 10th, Team Virtu Cycling will begin the OVO Energy Women’s Tour. DS Carmen Small says the team will be facing a hard course, but she hopes for strong results and team efforts.
On Monday, Team Virtu Cycling begins The OVO Energy Women’s Tour. The British stage race is the 13th division of the UCI Women’s World Tour. The race includes 6 stages with a total distance of 790 km. Tomorrow’s first stage will begin in the area of Suffolk, where the riders will tackle a 157,6-kilometre long stage.
DS Carmen Small says the race is the final preparation for the riders before the nationals: “Ovo is always challenging with hard course, long distances and tough competition. This will be a good race to see, where everyone is at before nationals, and kind of the last preparation for those, who are trying for a podium in their home countries”.
Small elaborates: “We are excited to participate in Ovo again this season. It will be interesting to see how the team’s race. We hope to come out with some strong results and good racing as a team”.
