DS Daniel Foder hopes for a technical race at Saturdays TTT National Championship

Saturday noon, six riders will fight against the clock, as they line up for the National TTT Championship in Glyngøre, Denmark.

Saturday, Team Waoo participates in the National TTT Championship in and around the area of Glyngøre. Six riders will fight against the clock, when they have to race 47,1 km as fast as possible.

“We are not a team of tempo specialists, and therefore we do not expect to win the race. We hope to join the battle for the bronze medal” sporting director Daniel Foder says.

Last year Team Waoo finished just outside the podium 45 seconds shy of third place. Therefore, DS Daniel Foder thinks it’s realistic to aim for the third podium spot.

“If the team performs well and has a good technical race, I believe we have a fair chance to fight for the bronze medal”.

Team Waoo is represented by Mathias Larsen, Silas Clemmensen, Michael Carbel, Martin Mortensen, Jesper Schultz and Andreas Jeppesen.

The final cup

On Sunday, the second race of the Denim Cup takes place in Nyborg. The race includes 6 big laps of 25,5 km and 3 small laps of 8,5 km, covering a total distance of 178,5 km in and around the area of Nyborg.

Even though Rasmus Guldhammer currently sits fourth in the Cup, Daniel Foder points out that the team focus isn’t first and foremost on the Cup, but each of its races.

“We don’t show up to defend Rasmus’ 4th place. We focus on each race, and since it’s the last race before the National Championships, it can be full of surprises. Therefore, we have to seek opportunities from the beginning of the race”

Team Waoo have delivered some strong results lately, and Foder points out that a lot of the riders are in great shape:

“Martin Mortensen and Michael Carbel are looking very strong at the moment, but also a rider like Andreas Jeppesen is showing great form. Oliver Wulff is back from injury and will debut on the team this Sunday. He’ll be an extra card for us to play”.
