Mikkel Frølich Honoré stagiare at Quick Step Floors

Team Waoo’s Mikkel Frølich Honoré will be tuning out as stagiare at Quick Step valid from today’s date and for the rest of the season. This agreement means, that Team Waoo’s goal of developing riders to higher levels has been achieved. Earlier this year, former Team Waoo rider Kasper Asgreen signed a contract with the same World Tour squad.

Mikkel Frølich Honoré states:

“I am very happy and honored to be riding for Quick Step for the rest of the season. Quick Step is one of the teams I have always admired since I was a boy. They have a long history in the sport, win a lot of races and are good at developing young riders. At the same time, the agreement comes as an additional motivation to come back stronger after a crash earlier in the summer where I suffered a fracture in my hand. “

Even though Team Waoo now loses a rider for some time, sports director Daniel Foder is content with this decision:

“I have been Mikkel’s coach since his junior years and already then, he was an obvious talent, so it is no surprise that he is now offered a stagiare contract. At Team Waoo, we are not only proud to develop young riders to be able to do well on the next level. This is one of our stated goals, so we wish Mikkel all the best for the next couple of months at Quick Step Floors. “
