Team VIRTU Cycling ranked 8th on World Tour

According to the newest update of the UCI World Tour team rankings, Team VIRTU Cycling takes 8th place among the 40 teams on the list. Team VIRTU Cycling DS, Carmen Small is happy to see the team upgrading and she´s looking forward to the getting the season started with new and experienced riders:

“We are very excited to start the season with our new additions to the team.  We have improved our team roster in not only sprinting but experience and climbing races as well.  I am really hoping to come out and have a good spring campaign.  The ladies are very hungry to race and get some results.  The attitude within the team is very positive with an uncanny competitive nature.  We will start off the season with Omloop Het Nieuwsblad where we are hoping to get another top result like we did last year with Christina Siggaard. We will come with some heavy hitters and really push to be in the final and deliver a good result”.

The new additions to the team also allow high hopes for the stage races later in the season:

“Looking later in the season we have bolstered the roster with some stage race riders and climbing.  It’s really nice to have a big team where the riders can have more focus to show up to a race to perform rather than trying to get through it because we are missing riders due to illness or injury.  I hope we have a bit more luck on our side and we can have a very consistent year with more top 10’s then last year and even more podium performances!  We want to be a major factor in every race we go to”, concludes Carmen Small.
