VIRTU Cycling Women highly motivated for OVO Energy Women’s Tour
Wednesday, June 13th, Team VIRTU Cycling Women will compete in the English stage race, the OVO Energy Women’s Tour, which extends over five stages primarily in the southern and central part of England. The stages are regular without time trials in hilly terrain and there are ample opportunities for breakaway attempts from the field, consisting of a total of 17 teams with 6 riders each.
Sports Director, Carmen Small, says:
“We have had a good training camp and Danish national Team Time Trial which has brought the team together and closer. They need to use this camaraderie to be stronger as a team and look for opportunity for a podium performance. They are fit and as long as they ride together they should be able to deliver a top result. It’s been a while sense we have been road racing and the girls as well as the staff are eager to get back out there to compete. We come with a very strong team and look forward to the race”.
Team VIRTU Cycling Women’s line-up:
Barbara Guarischi, Christina Siggaard, Kasia Pawlowska, Mieke Kröger, Sara Penton and Emilie Moberg.
