Team Virtu Cycling 2018

With 12 motivated riders Team Virtu Cycling is ready for all the challenges that 2018 will bring.  Check out the team below and read more about each rider.


Barbara Guarischi

A former stage winner in Giro Rosa and La Route de France Barbara Guarischi has the speed to compete for the victory among the very best in the sprints. The 27-year old Italian rider joins Team Virtu Cycling for her first season in 2018 and she is motivated to once again fight for the win when it comes down to a sprint for the line.

Katarzyna Pawlowska

A former World Champion on the track Katarzyna Pawlowska has the abilities to be among the best. Despite injuries in 2017 she still grabbed a couple of victories thanks to her strong sprint, but she also does and excellent ITT. The Polish rider will be doing her first year on Team Virtu Cycling in 2018, and she hopes it brings tons of succes.

Trine Schmidt

Trine Schmidt rejoined the professionel peloton in 2017 after a break of five year from cycling. In 2018 she takes her talents to Team Virtu Cycling and she has already proved that she is stronger than ever. During the winther season she riders on the track and have already won two European titles, and she hopes she can bring that succes on to next season on the road.

Louise Norman Hansen

Louise Norman Hansen had her 2nd year in the team in 2017 and especially during summer she showed that she holds a huge engine and more so. The 22-year hold Dane hopes to take another step up in 2018, and show her potential and skills in the time trials.

Mieke Kröger

Still only 24-years old Mieke Kröger has been racing on the highest level for several years and in 2018 she joins Team Virtu Cycling for her first season in the team. The powerfull German is among the best in the ITT and holds a huge potential, that she hopes to unlock some of in 2018.

Christina Siggaard

Even though Christina Siggaard only turned 23 in 2017, the strong Dane raced with a huge responsibility on her shoulders. She has been with the team for multiple seasons and in 2018 she puts on the jersey again, and she is ready to fight for the victory and for her teammates.

Sara Penton

Sara Penton had a break through year in 2017, where the 28-year old Swede showed that she has gained another level as a rider. She won the Swedish championship and was a extremely valuble rider for Team Virtu Cycling in every race she did.

Claudia Koster

25-year old Claudia Koster did her first year on the World Tour and at Team Virtu Cycling in 2017. Finishing her education as ergotharapist in the spring, she was able to focus more on the bike which showed off as she took her first World Tour points and had some impressive performances.

Linda Villumsen

The former ITT-World Champion joined Team Virtu Cycling halfway through the season and immediatly showed, that she has the level to compete among the best.

Strong in many sort of terrain and especially in the race against the clock Linda Villumsen is one of the most talented riders in the peloton.

Emilie Moberg

26-year hold Emilie Moberg has been one of the best Norwegian riders for several season. In 2018 she takes her talents to Team Virtu Cycling, where she will try to take another step on and earn more UCI-victories.

Katrine Aalerud

Young and talented climber Katrine Aalerud will be joining Team Virtu Cycling for her 1st season in 2018. The Norwegian rider has in 2017 raced her first year on UCI-level and  already showed that she has the potential be achieve some great things in the future.

Doris Schweizer

Doris Schweizer will be doing her 2nd season at Team Virtu Cycling. Her 2017 was ruined by injuries and illness but the strong Swiss climber and time trialist is ready for a fresh start in 2018.
